About this movie

In the first part of J.R.R. Tolkien's epic masterpiece, The Lord of the Rings, a shy young hobbit, Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood), inherits a simple gold ring. Frodo, accompanied by a wizard, an elf, a dwarf, two men and three loyal hobbit friends, must now become the greatest hero the world has ever known to save the land and the people he loves. Also starring Academy Award and Golden Globe-winner Cate Blanchett, Academy Award-nominee and Golden Globe-winner Ian McKellan, Academy Award-nominee Viggo Mortensen, Orlando Bloom, and Liv Tyler. Lord of the rings was one of my favorite books growing up as a child. So I was a little tentative about the movie adaptation. But Jackson has made a film that is not only true to the book but also adds it's own flair to it. An absolute must watch for any movie lover. Oh and you don't have to have read the books to enjoy this one.

Guys, usually this is not a free movie (check other movies of this series). But for now, the price has been REDUCED TO ZERO as a limited time offer. Because unlike other free stuff on Play Store, this movie has to be *purchased* (for an amount of Rs 0), it goes via Google's payment system and needs your credit card information. If this is your first time buying anything from the Play Store, Rs 50 is *temporarily* charged on your card to confirm the card is functional. It should get refunded soon. Enjoy!

Got it free on play store, props to Google for a great free gift. But the movie is neither uncut nor extended edition, and there's no captions/subtitles available to boot. The movie itself doesn't need any review, it's simply a must-watch.
