The Christmas House

When TV star Mike Mitchell learns his hit show "Handsome Justice" has been canceled a few weeks before the holidays, he suddenly finds himself alone, without much to do, and realizes he's spent years building a professional life - but not a personal one. So when Mike's parents Bill and Phylis ask him to come home early for the holidays to help bring back a revered family tradition, Mike eagerly accepts the opportunity to return to the place where he's always feltmost at home - upstate NY. Mike, his brother Brandon and Brandon's husband Jake work with Bill and Phylis to reconstruct the Christmas House - a top-to-toe, total overhaul of their house from a regular home to an indoor/outdoor Christmas wonderland for the community to enjoy. However, Mike and Brandon learn that the reason their parents wanted to bring back the Christmas House is not necessarily a merry one: they're planning to sell the house and are struggling in their marriage. Also, Mike notices whispered conversations between Brandon and Jake and worries something is amiss there as well. Convinced the Christmas House is the way to keep his family together, Mike throws himself into the weeks of designing, decorating and construction, reconnecting along the way with the literal girl next door, Andi. As Mike learns that he can't fix everyone's problems and must build a life of his own instead of getting involved in everyone else's,the Christmas House comes together. But as Christmas Eve arrives, and the house goes on the market, Mike gets on offer to return to TV. He then must decide which matters more - building a life with Andi or returning to the professional life he knows so well.
