Amanda (Christine Ko, "Tigertail," "Hawaii Five-0") works in product development at a large cosmetics company. She loves what she does but is starting to feel like she can't implement her best ideas since the company plays it safeand is content to stick with its long-term flagship products. One day, her favorite aunt, Carol (Lauren Tom, "Futurama," "The Joy Luck Club," "King of the Hill"), calls Amanda and informs her that she has met a man and wants togo live near him on the coast, ready to start the next chapter of her life. To do that, Aunt Carol needs to sell her pecan farm, a place that has been the epicenter of their family's traditions for all of Amanda's life. Wanting to ensure that the farm goes to a good family who will run it as is, Amanda agrees to help her sell it, but her mischievous aunt hires Amanda's ex-high school boyfriend, JP (Wes Brown, "A Nashville Christmas Carol," "Wedding at Graceland"), to be the broker. JP's professional baseball career was cut short by an injury, and he is now working at a real estate agency while he figures out what is next. Stuck having to work with each other, the two are at odds on practically every decision on how to sell the pecan farm. But the more time they spend together, the more they reconnect and old feelings start to rekindle. They begin to wonder if they are letting their issues from the past get in the way of a bright and happy future, which could steer them both onto new paths.
