Josh is content in his small Alaska hometown, cooking at the diner his parents once owned and dreaming of the day when he can take it over again. But when his estranged twin-brother, acclaimed big-city chef Julien, injures himself, Josh agrees to pretend to be his twin in order to compete in one of the most elite culinary competitions in the world. There he meets Meg, the ambitious organizer of the contest who is eager to prove herself with her first big event, and feelings start to develop between them, something that is made complicated by the fact that she thinks he is his brother Julien, who is gay. As the pressure of the competition mounts, Josh and Julien's deception gets bigger, threatening to destroythe burgeoning relationship between Josh and Meg and any chance of reconciliation between the two brothers.
