Love Strikes Twice

LOGLINE: In the vein of Peggy Sue Got Married and Back to the Future, Maggie and Josh are a couple on the verge of divorce, when Maggie makes a wish for a 'do over.' Waking up fifteen years in the past, it's the summer Maggie broke upwith her college boyfriend, Rick, and fell in love with her high school buddy, Josh. Will Maggie make the same choice all over again, or will she stay with Rick and magically live happily ever after? SYNOPSIS: For better or worse, MAGGIETURNER has one thing on her mind, to make junior partner at her firm. She's 37 years old, extremely intelligent, reliable and deserves the position more than anyone else, but her determination blinds her from every other aspect of her life. The 40th anniversary of her parents, ESTELLE and GEORGE, is this weekend, so she informs her boss, MALCOLM BAXTER, that she will not be in the city but will of course be available at any given moment if needed and will be working remotely. Conrad, impressed by Maggie's tenacity in recent cases, mentions she's very likely a shoe in for that promotion when she has her performance review next month. Ahead of driving back to her hometown, she speaks with her lifelong bestfriend CARRIE who will also attend the anniversary. Carrie mentions an article featuring RICK MORGAN, a highly successful entrepreneur but also Maggie's college ex-boyfriend. Maggie begins to think why she and Rich never made it work. As her and her husband, JOSH TURNER, drive from Chicago to her parent's house about an hour away in Elmhurst, they pass by a seemingly innocent shopping plaza, but it's just a reminder to Will of his lost fight to keep the historic library in place when they were in college. Maggie misses a small restaurant named Flannigan's that had the best banana cream pies. Maggie and Josh are both enthusiastically welcomed upon their arrival. Her parents seem well and happy althoughGeorge suffered from a ladder accident not long ago that has left him using a walker for the rest of his life. Maggie's younger brother, ASH, still lives at home and is the same awkward, shy person she remembers even though he's 30. Assoon as they settle in, Maggie's mind reverts to work mode instead of spending time with the family. Josh says he doesn't want to ruin her parent's anniversary weekend but seeing how much they love each other has made it very apparent that what her parents have isn't what they have. Distraught from the impending breakup, Maggie leaves for a quick breather and finds herself at the shopping plaza they stopped at before. She takes a coin and makes a wish that she couldget a do-over. She heads back home and enters her childhood bedroom and goes through her things reminiscing on easier times. She falls asleep in a pile of her personal memorabilia. The next morning everything has changed. She finds her home and her parents and brother 15 years younger. She's now 22 again! She now has the do-over she wished for the night before. Although, at first alarming and then exciting, the next few days Maggie goes on a journey of self-reflection andsee what truly matters in her life. She will have the chance to date Rick again, help her brother's confidence, save the old library by taking her current boss to court, even prevent her father's accident but most importantly have the chance to fall in love with Josh again. Will changing anything from her past this time affect the future she was living a few days before? Maggie must make the tough and uncertain decisions of changing certain aspects of her past no matter what the impact could be.
