One Summer

Jack (Sam Page) takes his 15-year-old daughter Mikki (Madeline Grace Popovich) and 10-year-old son Tyler (Gavin Borders) to his late wife Lizzie's (Amanda Schull) beachside hometown to spend the summer in "The Palace," which is what she called the house where she grew up in. Jack was the one who was very sick and close to death, but it was Lizzie who unexpectedly passed away. Jack miraculously got better after her death and vowed to take care of the kids. Lizzie's parents welcome Jack and the kids to "The Palace," but Lizzie's mother Bonnie (Elizabeth Becka) misses her daughter and questions whether Jack is equipped to raise Mikki and Tyler right on his own. Jenna (Sarah Drew), who owns the localcafe, is recently divorced and a single mother to 16-year-old Liam. She offers a job to Mikki to work in the cafe, and Mikki begins to take a liking to Liam, who both share a passion for music. Having a background as a carpenter, Jack agrees to help Jenna with a project, and he also attempts to repair the dilapidated lighthouse that Lizzie used to play in as a child, and it is here where Jack begins to see - and speak - with what he can only believe is a vision of his late wife. Lizzie only wants the best for Jack and the kids, and she believes that they can ultimately find it in her hometown. Struggling to rebuild their lives during this one unforgettable summer, can Jenna help Jack learn to accept the past, as well as his place in the world, and can he and his children learn how to become a family once again?
