Samantha "Sam" Walker's Montana ranch has been in her family for generations, but when she falls behind on the mortgage payments the ranch is threatened. Richard Belmont, the successful Manhattan-born-and-bred real estate developer flies in to tiny Bighorn on his private plane. He claims he's never met a deal he couldn't close and he wants Sam's ranch. He makes her an offer he's sure she can't refuse. His company has its sights set on buying the ranch and turning it into a luxury resort, and Richard won't take no for an answer. But, while Richard may have never met a deal he couldn't close, he's also never met a cowgirl like Sam who is determined to hold onto the ranch despite Richard'sbest efforts to convince her to sell. When Sam learns Richard is stranded without a place to stay, she shows him true western hospitality by inviting the fish-out-of-water executive to stay as a guest on the ranch. If Richard Belmont is the enemy, it's best to have him close, so she can keep an eye on him. Sam soon notices that Richard is kind and charming, and easy on the eyes. And, while she watches him falling for ranch life under the big Montana sky, Sam's surprisedto find she's falling for him. Maybe there's more to Richard Belmont than private planes, Italian suits and thousand-dollar shoes. Maybe he has a heart just like hers.
