A New Year's Resolution

Kelly always makes the same New Year's resolution: This will be the year she stops being a workaholic and invests in her social life. But after years of no change, her frustrated friends stage an intervention. The only way that will happen, they argue, is if she stops saying no to everything-no to invitations, no to social gatherings, no to anything that is outside of her comfort zone. So this year, Kelly agrees to a more specific resolution: For all of January, she hasto say yes to any invitation that comes her way. And as Kelly lights her wish paper, her friends immediately begin devising experiences that will take Kelly outside of her comfort zone. At first, Kelly goes kicking and screaming, but she loosens up and begins to explore entirely new sides of herself. The deal is sweetened when she meets the handsome and charismatic Tom-a brand advisor whose job books his calendar solid with social events. Tom can't say no to anything oranyone, particularly the enigmatic Kelly whom he keeps running into at event after event, almost as if it's fate. As the two fall for each other, Kelly's eyes are opened to the ways in which she's limited herself. And Tom realizes by saying yes to everyone else, he's constantly saying no to himself. Tom has to decide if he's willing to say no to enough inessential things to carve out space for romance. And Kelly must decide if this "new her" is a neglected side of her worth incorporating into her life-or just a fleeting new year's resolution.
