Christmas in Harmony

HARMONY MATTHEWS is a New York City music executive who's in for a big surprise. After coordinating the merger of an indie record label with an industry giant, Harmony is a expecting a promotion but instead her position is now redundant- corporate speak for fired! Dejected, but determined to get her job back, Harmony books a flight to her North Carolina hometown to regroup and strategize as she celebrates Christmas with her family. When Harmony arrives to Mama's house it is just as she remembered it - filled with warm hugs and deliciously welcoming holiday treats. Mama is all too happy to have her daughter finally home for the holidays, particular since Harmony has not been home in years ever since her father passed away, but before Harmony can even put down her luggage, Mama whisks her off to deliver a carload of pies to the church. When they arrive, they're greeted by Deacon James, recent widower and head of the church's outreachministry. The church volunteers are happy to see the pies, Deacon is happy to see Mama, and Mama is even happier when Deacon tells Harmony about the church's annual Christmas musical fundraiser, the Holiday Hallelujah Chorus. Their choirdirector recently took a short trip down a long hill and the show desperately needs a replacement director. Harmony protests Deacon's request that she direct the choir because she plans to be busy trying to win back her job. But Mama isnot one to take no for an answer, so Harmony reluctantly agrees. Mama sends Harmony out to get the rest of the pies and on her way back to the fellowship hall, Harmony is so focused on overhearing the chorus rehearsal- CRASH! Pies fly everywhere and Harmony is mortified, but not because of the mess, rather she just crashed into KYLE NOAH- touring musician and her ex high school boyfriend. It soon becomes clear that a merry mix-up has occurred as the choir director had already asked Kyle to step in to help with the Holiday Hallelujah Chorus and now the two exes will end up co-directing the show. Harmony did not sign up for getting up-close and personal with her ex but the yuletides shift in getting her job back when Harmony's old assistant tells her that Melo D. Star (one of her old clients and the label's biggest artist) has threatened to leave the label if Harmony can't produce her album. Harmony seizes the opportunity and endeavors tofind the perfect sound for Melo D.'s new chart-topping album. Between making a #1 hit for Melo D., rehearsing the church choir, and defending herself against Kyle's criticisms that she's sold out her artistic dreams, Harmony needs a miracle to keep everything from crashing down on her. For Harmony to step into her own greatness and unlock her heart to love she will have to use the gift of her voice to elevate the chorus' sound and discover Kyle's secret that ended their relationship.
