A Hindu government serviceman, Sirajuddin Mohammad, moves to a Muslim colony with his wife, Mou, and son Raju. Mou and Raju admire Siraj, calling him 'Abbajan'. Mou's marriage is called off due to Pradip's father's dowry demands. Siraj offers to meet Pradip's parents' demands, leading to Siraj's open affection for Mou on their wedding day.
