The story follows the tribals of Jhalakpukur, who suffer torture and harassment due to money lenders who lacked basic living rights. Sulata, a contractor, cares for the tribals, but her employer, Sundaram, is greedy and lusts for her. Sulata meets Satinath, a man who protects them from harm. Sundaram and another money lender attempt to kill Raghu, but Satinath saves him. Together, they focus on the tribal people's interests.
