Aatank is a social drama that is based on the cause of protection of natural land, property and people, against the private industrialization for money and power. the initial engineer of the project is tortured and killed, along with his family, to have the plan of the debated barrage sanctioned. Leaving behind his only son, Pratik Chaudhury, who returns to avenge his father. At the village, Pratik meets the local hero and revolutionary Milan, who is the second protagonist of the movie. There is relationships and love plots that are developed, along with character detailing, like the corrupt MLA Shashankh Shekhar, who makes the master plan; and the spunky photo-journalist Ivy, who risks her life for the truth. The movie has depth and will keep you engaged throughout; and ends with a dramatic twist where social worker Sohini kills her father, the evil and corrupt MLA Shashankh Shekhar, who has already killed her lover, the hero Milan. The story ends on a very realistic note, where all issues are resolved and the characters stay true to their nature, and all get what they truly deserve.
