Kathin Maya is a romantic comedy that is based on the off track life-story of our hero Sarveshar. He is a smart and fun boy who has only one motto in life, which is to not be married. He tell all his friends and acquaintances so, pointing out the de-merits of marriage and family life. The movie shows his life as a comical bachelor life, through which he helps many people, changes many lives and keep his motto firm. Finally, on fleeing away from being married, he leaves the city Kolkata and seeks refugee in a village, and makes a good friend called Mukherjee. And there he falls in love with this unique girl named Puti, who is perfectly matched with him. Later, through many twists and turns he returns back to her and finally gives up his motto and lives happily married. The movie asserts many social themes of over population, unemployment, the crowd of the city, the good simple life of the village, false trade, about trickery and smartness too among others
