Aghatan' is a story of young love. Mou, a college going girl who falls in love with her friend Babli's brother Bonny. Both the families accept their relationship and their wedding is fixed. But, suddenly Bonny commits suicide. The police arrests Mou as they suspect she instigated Bonny. Contraceptives are discovered from Mou's bag and police suspect her character. Eventually it's revealed that it was Babli who was in a physical relation with her boyfriend Bunty and had got pregnant and Mou had helped her. Mou is set free and she realizes her mistake.
