Majhi Tapasya is the story revolving around a girl who is the daughter of Baburao Malhar. Baburao has a close friend Ramesh, who also happens to be his neighbour. Friction between the two results in a harsh decision that Ramesh makes - to sell Baburao`s daughter. Fortunately, her taker is a kind-hearted man who educates her. Tapasya's longing for her lost-childhood forms the crux of the story.
