Inder Saxena (Amitabh Bachchan), a rich young man who believes in the power of money falls in love with a simple girl Rama (Rakhee Gulzar), who happens to be his professor's daughter. Inder's best friend and college mate also nurtures a liking for her. When he argues that Rama can't be lured with money, Inder promises to change his perception and strikes a bet to win over the girl by the sheer might of his wealth. Does he succeed? What happens when Rama learns about the plan? Will love be bought over in this drama?
