Smita Tambe (Marathi:स्मिता तांबे) is a well-known Marathi & Hindi film, television and stage actor, born in the Satara district of Maharashtra. She was brought up in Pune, and moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in Marathi films and television. She came into the limelight due to her role in Jogwa Her first lead role came in Akshay Kumars production first Marathi movie ७२ मैल .
